I love my giraffe

Gray is starting to discover his hands! Here are some pictures of him in his bouncer, looking at his giraffe. He was moving his hands, and every now and then he would accidentally hit the giraffe and it would move and he would get excited.

ANOTHER BIG FIRST!

Ahh, the roller coaster of parenting. After our night last night, and this morning when we spoke to the pediatrician in a call where they uttered the "C" word (Colic), now we are back on the upswing!! This afternoon, we captured a SMILE on film AND...... (drumroll) when Gray was lying on his tummy he lifted his head up all the way to a 90 degree angle from the floor!! He did it a couple times and held it there for a while, so we snapped a picture. We also took a movie, which will be posted in a movie montage later.

HOLY TOLEDO THIS IS BIG!

Linz wanted to take some pictures of this cute outfit, and while doing so, she caught these rare images of Gray smiling on film (well, not really on film, since they don't make film anymore, do they?!?). This event is even more unexpected because of Gray's fussy behavior over the last few days. Perhaps he heard Santa was checking his list...

Growth Spurt!!

Whoa! We went to the hospital today to weigh Gray, and he has gained almost a pound in just over a week!! Linz had said he was having a growth spurt, and she was definitely right! He now weighs 9 pounds, 8.5 ounces, so within the next week, he will probably break the 10 pound barrier!

Thanks, Aunt Angela, for the super cute shoes! They fit so he wore them to an outing the other day to Target. Here is photo evidence. I have no idea how long they will fit, he is DEFINITELY in a growth spurt right now (eating every two hours or more often!!). He is just about to outgrow his favorite fuzzy fleece 3 month size pajamas. =(

The doctor said Gray has to have time on his tummy every day to build strength in his neck. During yesterday's session, I got a lot of pictures of him with his eyes open and working to lift his head. He has gotten good at lifting his head and turning to the other side. Here are a couple of cute pictures.
